Wild Wash uses large commercial Electrolux washers designed to handle much bigger loads than home machines.
Our washers can comfortably fit:
Small (9kg) – slightly larger than a standard home load
Medium (20kg) – around two home loads
Large (28kg) – three or more home loads, bedding or bulky items
Using a larger washer means you can combine multiple loads and get through laundry faster. For best results, don’t overfill — aim for around ¾ full for a better clean.
-
Wild Wash uses large commercial Electrolux dryers designed to handle much larger loads and dry much faster than most home dryers
Our dryers can comfortably fit:
Small (17kg) – two-three home loads
Medium (24kg) – three-four home loads
Large (30kg) – four or more home loads, bedding or bulky items
Dryers are designed to handle larger loads, as laundry is heavier when wet. For best results, allow enough space for clothes to tumble freely — this helps them dry faster and more evenly. Overfilling will increase drying time.
-
Yes, absolutely! Our larger machines are perfect for duvets, blankets, sheets and bulky items.
We recommend using a medium or large washer so items have enough room to move freely and wash properly. This also helps them spin out more water, reducing drying time.
For best results, dry bedding in one of our larger dryers and allow a little extra time for heavier items.
-
Most wash cycles take around 30 minutes.
Our commercial machines are designed to wash efficiently while still being gentle on fabrics — helping you get in, get it done and get on with your day.
Heavy Duty or Extra Rinse add-ons increase the time by about 5 minutes each.
-
Most loads take 25–30 minutes in our dryers.
Heavier items such as towels or bulky items may take longer.
Larger dryers with lighter loads will dry faster and more evenly. If you open the dryer door during a cycle to check for dryness, please remove the items immediately, or close the door and press Start to continue.
-
You can typically wash and dry a full load in about an hour using our large-capacity machines and fast dryers.
Singles and couples will take about 60 minutes. Families and larger loads will take an extra 10-15 minutes. Perfect for getting the job done quickly and getting on with your day.
-
Wild Wash is generally busiest during wet weather and weekends, when drying at home isn’t an option.

-
Yes. Laundry powder is available to purchase at the payment kiosk if you forget to bring your own.
Our machines also work perfectly with your favourite liquid or powder detergent from home.
-
Most standard laundry detergents work well in Wild Wash machines.
For best results:
Use high-efficiency (HE) detergent if possible
Liquid detergent delivers the best result - particularly in cold washes
We don’t recommend using Laundry Pods or Capsules in our machines, but if you do - put them in the drum with your laundry, rather than in the detergent drawer.
Avoid using too much detergent — commercial front loaders clean very effectively with smaller amounts.
-
Less than you might think.
Commercial machines use advanced wash technology and efficient water circulation, so only a small amount of detergent is needed.
As a guide:
Small Machines:
½ scoop or cap of detergentMedium Machines:
1–1½ scoops or caps of detergentLarge Machines:
2 scoops or caps of detergent
Using too much detergent can create excess foam and reduce wash performance.
-
For everyone’s safety and to keep our machines in great condition, please do not wash or dry:
Items containing oils, solvents or cleaning chemicals
Rubber-backed items, mop heads or oily rags
Heavily soiled items with excess dirt or mud
-
Yes — animal blankets are welcome in our dedicated animal bedding washer and dryer — as long as they are reasonably clean and free of excess dirt, mud or hair before washing.
We recommend giving them a good shake, vacuum or brush down at home first to keep our machines in great condition for everyone.
With horse blankets, please ensure all buckles are fastened to prevent damage to the machines during the wash and dry.
-
To ensure fast turnover and ease of use for everyone, please remain nearby and remove your laundry promptly once the cycle has finished. (Our free text-reminder service is great for this!)
If a machine has finished and the owner hasn’t returned, you’re welcome to carefully remove the laundry so you can use the machine.
Please handle other people’s items with care and place them neatly in a basket or on a clean surface.
-
All customers are welcome to use our free text reminder service.
Simply enter your mobile number when paying and we’ll send you a message when your cycle is nearly finished.
